House Barn Gardens Woods

Haughley Park and the Barn are approached through gently undulating
parkland that is enclosed by mature woodland.

Six acres of landscaped gardens surround the buildings, including a main
lawn on the north side of the house, Woodland garden (or Dell), Walled
kitchen garden planned along Edwardian lines, and Carriage turn and round
lawn in front of the house. There is a large fish pond equidistant between the
House and Barn, and in recent years a new garden area was created close
to the Barn to be used predominantly as a drinks lawn.

In 2006, large contemporary glass sculptures were added to the gardens
around the Barn. They are by Danny Lane, a friend of the Williams’ Family
and add an exciting and modern edge to the otherwise traditional setting.
Danny's work can be seen in many public places around the world.
The sculptures and some of the gardens close to the Barn are floodlit at
night. For more photos of the gardens and sculptures, see our photo gallery

For more information on Danny Lane and his work, see his website.

The Gardens are private, outside opening times.
