House Barn Gardens Woods

A short walk from behind the house leads to Woolpit woods.

They are an old woodland, used in the middle ages as a hunting ground
and once belonging to the Dukes of Suffolk.

Highlights include two long Rhododendron rides, planted in the 19th century,
20 acres of naturally occurring bluebells in late April/ early May, and a
30 acre landscaped woodland garden with many decorative trees and
flowering shrubs.

Outside opening times the woods are private.
